If you buy a Tanzanite Jewelry or Gemstone and it is not certified, you have no way of knowing that what you bought is the Real Thing. Not only it could be synthetic and thus has no real value, it could also be low grade and full of internal defects. So please ask whenever you buy from a retail shop or online. who is the Certification Authority? . Are they well known and Trusted? . Do you give a Certificate with each of your Tanzanite?

Tanzanite Manufacturing
Not all Tanzanite Jewelry are manufactured equally. To get the maximum colour and the deep exotic Blue Color of the Tanzanite Stone, it must be Cut by an experienced Cutter. The same Stone cut by two different cutters with a wide range of cutting experience can easily be identified. The Experienced Cutter cuts the stone along Facet Lines that give the maximum Brilliance of the Dark Blue Colours, whereas a less experienced cutter may cut a Tanzanite which dulls its appearance and brilliance and may well have to be re-cut to let it shine brilliantly again.
Further the Tanzanite Stone has to be set properly in the Ring or the Pendant, and this requires considerable experience as the Tanzanite is softer then a Diamond. So it is important that it is set properly and the Tanzanite Jewelry piece is manufactured according to these guidelines which ensures that the Tanzanite is well protected and lasts for a long time.
